Denza B8 First Look: 600+ HP Luxury SUV

Pakistan’s luxury SUV buyers got their first close look at the Denza B8 at the BYD stall during the Pakistan Auto Show 2026 in Lahore, according to a source report from and another report at The B8 is a six-seat, plug-in hybrid SUV that mixes premium cabin features with serious off-road gear.

What buyers do not have yet is the most important business detail: no official Pakistan price, booking amount, launch date, or delivery schedule was given in the available reports.

The Denza B8 is being talked about because of its numbers. The source reports say it makes more than 600 hp, sends out 740 Nm of torque, and can go from 0 to 100 km/h in under five seconds. It also uses a 36.84 kWh Blade Battery, with a claimed 115 km of pure-electric range under the NEDC cycle and more than 1,000 km of claimed combined range.

For Pakistani buyers, that matters because the B8 is not just being sold as a luxury face. It is also being shown as a car that can handle family trips, city use, and longer drives without relying only on fuel. That makes it more interesting than a usual big petrol SUV, at least on paper.

A Luxury SUV That Does Not Try to Look Soft

The B8 has the shape of a proper large off-roader. The reports describe a five-metre body, upright styling, concealed door handles, powered side steps, 20-inch wheels on Michelin tyres, a tailgate-mounted spare wheel, and an exposed tow hitch.

That design sends a clear message. This is not a crossover trying to look tough. It is built to stand out in front of a hotel, but also to look ready for rough roads, long tours, and towing.

Cabin Focused on Comfort and Travel

Inside, the B8 gets Nappa leather, a 12-inch driver display, and a 17-inch infotainment screen. The reports also mention a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, second-row captain seats, and a powered third row with recline and massage support.

Some of those features are nice to have. Others may matter more for Pakistani families. The second-row captain seats and the heated or refrigerated centre-console storage could be useful on long highway runs, especially for buyers who want a full-size SUV for touring as much as daily use.

Off-Road Tech Is Part of the Pitch

The reports also point to the BYD DMO plug-in hybrid system, Disus-P hydraulic suspension, electronic differential locks, radar-assisted suspension preparation, 360- and 540-degree camera views, infrared night vision, and G-Turn capability.

These features sound impressive, but they were reported from a walkaround at the auto show, not from a local road test. So they should be treated as claimed features, not proven Pakistan conditions results.

What Pakistani Buyers Should Wait For

The B8 could appeal to buyers who want premium seating for six, electric commuting for short daily use, and strong petrol backup for long trips. But the value question is still open.

Before anyone thinks about booking, the market needs the real Pakistan details: variant, official price, warranty, charging support, service coverage, parts availability, ground clearance, fuel economy, and tax treatment. Until then, the B8 is best seen as a very strong first look, not a final buying verdict.
