You could zoom from Dubai to Ras Al Khaimah in less than 15 minutes with electric flying taxis. That’s right, Joby Aviation is bringing the UAE’s first-ever all-electric flying taxi service, turning a long car ride into a quick, eco-friendly flight.
The first stop?
A route connecting Dubai International Airport to the stunning Al Marjan Island, where the fancy new Wynn Resorts is opening. The tallest mountains of the UAE will be covered by linking the island to Jebel Jais in the second round. The capacity of these flying taxis to carry four passengers and a pilot, zooming at speeds up to 321 km/h with zero emissions. That means no pollution, just fast and green travel!
The Efforts behind this Milestone
At first, these taxis will be perfect for tourists looking for a cool way to explore. Eventually, locals will get to hop on, too. This project is a result of the combined efforts of RAKTA, Joby Aviation, and Skyports' infrastructure and Ras AI Khaimah’s huge plan to become an advanced and eco-friendly city by 2030.
