Islamabad Police receives 50 electric vehicles
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif handed over 50 electric vehicles to Islamabad Police for the newly established Capital Patrol Force. The keys were given to Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and IG Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.

The force will have 200 personnel (mixed male/female units plus motorcycle officers) equipped with body cameras. The EVs are intended to support modern, transparent, and environmentally friendly policing. Officials stated they will save about Rs 34 million per month in fuel costs, with vehicle costs recoverable through savings in roughly 10.5 months. Reports indicate the vehicles are BYD models.
