Big news coming out of Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is about to launch Pakistan’s largest electric vehicle (EV) depot at Zero Point later this October. And honestly, this isn’t just another government headline; it's a real game-changer for public transport.

Under the supervision of Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa of CDA, a 1.5 billion project was announced to make Islamabad cleaner and greener. This will lead to a cut in carbon emissions, reduce fuel use, and move the city toward smart, sustainable travel.

What Makes This EV Depot Special

All is about to change; the new state-of-the-art depot will serve as the main base for 160 air-conditioned electric buses. It can charge 40 buses at the same time and park up to 120 buses.
