The Jaecoo J5 BEV has now been revealed in CKD form in Pakistan, making it the brand’s first locally assembled fully electric model. According to a source report, the reveal confirms the car’s hardware and cabin details, but not the most important part for many buyers: the price.

That matters because a strong spec sheet does not always mean an easy purchase. Until Jaecoo shares the retail price, booking amount, delivery timing, warranty terms and after-sales plan, the J5 BEV remains a product reveal rather than a buying decision. For background, read our earlier coverage: Jaecoo J5 BEV Premium Plus Specs Revealed.

The confirmed electric setup

According to a source report from the exact URL the J5 BEV Premium Plus comes with a 58.9 kWh battery and a front-mounted motor that makes 207.8 hp and 288 Nm. Power goes to the front wheels, and the claimed 0–100 km/h time is 7.7 seconds.

The same report says the crossover offers Eco, Normal and Sport drive modes, rides on 18-inch wheels, and lists a claimed 392 km WLTP range and 335 km EPA range. It also supports 11 kW AC charging and 130 kW DC fast charging.

For Pakistani buyers, those numbers are useful, but they are still lab figures. Real range can change with motorway speed, air-conditioning use, weather, traffic, passenger load and driving style.

What the J5 BEV looks like

The electric J5 has a closed front fascia instead of a regular grille, along with automatic LED headlights, parking sensors and a motorized charging-port lid. The shape remains tall and upright, which should help it look like a proper crossover rather than a small hatchback on stilts. At the rear, Jaecoo lettering and a powered tailgate finish the design.

Inside, the cabin is described as mostly white with blue stitching. The feature list includes a 13.2-inch infotainment screen, an eight-speaker audio system, a digital driver display, ventilated electrically adjustable front seats, 50W wireless phone charging, rear air vents, rear charging ports, a panoramic roof and a rear center armrest.

Those features sound premium, but a walkaround is not the same as a full road test. Comfort, cabin noise and rear-seat space still need proper local evaluation.

Why local assembly matters

The biggest news here is not just the BEV badge. It is the CKD move. Local assembly could affect supply, parts availability and long-term ownership support, even if those benefits are not yet confirmed.

That is why this reveal is relevant for readers who are already watching the brand’s local plans. The J5 hybrid is already part of the conversation, and the BEV adds another option for buyers who want a fully electric crossover. What is still missing

For now, several key details are still unconfirmed:

  • official retail price

  • variant range beyond Premium Plus

  • battery and vehicle warranty

  • charging equipment in the box

  • service intervals

  • spare-parts pricing

  • delivery timeline

  • local assembly volume

  • confirmed after-sales network

Readers should also wait for the final ownership package before comparing it with other electric crossovers. Home charging setup, daily commute needs and charging access will matter just as much as the claimed range.

Bottom line

The Jaecoo J5 BEV CKD reveal confirms a solid-looking package: 58.9 kWh battery, 207.8 hp, front-wheel drive, premium cabin equipment and a claimed 392 km WLTP range. But the key buyer question is still unanswered. Until the price and support plan are announced, this is best seen as a major product reveal, not a final purchase call.
