JAECOO J5 BEV Price Starts at PKR 5.999m

NexGen Auto has announced prices for the JAECOO J5 BEV in Pakistan, and the locally assembled electric SUV is now bookable at OMODA and JAECOO dealerships. The company says the introductory prices are ex-factory and valid until 30 November 2026, but it has not given a delivery timeline yet.

This launch matters because it puts a locally assembled EV SUV into the market at a clear starting price. For buyers, the main choice is now between the two trims, but both use the same battery and claimed range. That makes the extra PKR 700,000 for the Premium trim a question of equipment rather than driving range.

The company also says customers will get an 11 kW home charger and a spare tyre. That should help first-time EV buyers who worry about daily charging and roadside use. Even so, the final on-road bill will be higher once registration, insurance and other charges are added.

NexGen Auto says the JAECOO J5 BEV is Pakistan’s first locally assembled electric SUV. The company also says its JAECOO J5 HEV and JAECOO J7 PHEV have crossed 15,000 locally assembled units together. That is a sign of growing local EV and hybrid activity, but the real test will be parts support, service quality and long-term ownership costs.
