Pakistan's Auto Market Shows Signs of Recovery in October 2025
Pakistan’s auto industry finally shows signs of recovery. Car sales rose 32% year-on-year in October 2025, led by Toyota, Honda, and Hyundai. Motorbike and tractor sales also surged thanks to easier loans, government subsidies, and rural income growth, signaling a market ready to bounce back strong.

Pakistan's car sales climbed 32 percent year-on-year last month. Total units hit 17,333. That's cars, vans, pickups, and SUVs combined. The bump comes from better consumer moods and lower inflation rates. But not every brand smiled.
Winners and Losers Among Car Makers
Toyota led the pack. Sales rose 44 percent from September to 4,529 units. Corolla, Yaris, and Cross models drove the surge. Together, they sold 3,742 units, up 78 percent from last October. Fortuner and IMV pickups added 787 units, a 83 percent jump year-on-year.
Honda followed close. Units reached 2,607, a 72 percent rise from last year and 13 percent monthly gain. City and Civic sedans pulled the weight. Buyers picked them for reliable daily drives in cities like Lahore and Karachi.
Hyundai posted an 82 percent annual increase. Tucson SUVs and Elantra cars topped the list. Families liked the Tucson's space for school runs and market trips.
Suzuki faced headwinds. Sales dropped 18 percent to 7,403 units. Swift, Ravi, and Every models saw softer demand. The end of older variants hurt too. Alto still held as the top seller overall, but the brand lost ground.
Motorbikes Hit a High Note
Two-wheelers told a brighter story. The segment grew 20 percent year-on-year to 165,500 units. Atlas Honda smashed records with 140,000 sales, its best month ever. CD 70 stayed king for commuters. New models like CB150F added flair for younger riders. Easier loans and steady jobs helped push numbers up in rural Punjab and urban Sindh.
Tractors Roll Strong on Subsidies
Farm equipment boomed, too. Tractor sales soared 67 percent year-on-year. The Punjab Green Tractor Scheme fueled it. This program hands out 20,000 subsidized units in 2025, 10,000 small ones (50-65 HP) and 10,000 bigger (75-125 HP). A one million rupee cut per tractor makes them affordable. Digital lotteries pick winners fairly. Over 9,500 farmers from phase one reported higher crop yields already. Wheat growers got 1,000 freebies. It speeds plowing and cuts labor costs in fields from Faisalabad to Multan.
Why the Uptick Now
Inflation eased to single digits. Interest rates fell, opening auto loans. New models hit showrooms with better fuel tech. Rural incomes rose from good harvests. Urban buyers felt the pinch less. Overall, July to October sales reached 59,600 units, a 46 percent jump from last year.
What Lies Ahead
Analysts eye 180,000 to 200,000 total sales in 2025. Hybrids and EVs could grow if charging spots expand. Suzuki needs fresh launches to rebound. Toyota and Honda bet on exports too.
This mix shows a market on the mend. Cars move families faster. Bikes weave through traffic. Tractors till the soil deeper. Each sale means jobs at factories in Karachi and dealers in Islamabad. And for drivers, it's one less worry on the road. For more updates, visit DrivePK.com
