Toyota has turned five of its best-known SUVs and pickups into tracked snow concepts for SEMA 2026, but these are display builds, not confirmed production models. According to a source report at the lineup includes the Tundra, Tacoma, 4Runner, Land Cruiser and Sequoia, all redesigned by Toyota’s CALTY Design Research team in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

The five vehicles will make their public debut in Las Vegas from November 3 to 6, 2026. Toyota says the project was inspired by the heavy lake-effect snow seen in the region, and the idea is to show how far its trucks and SUVs can be pushed for winter travel, overlanding and camping. For background, read our earlier coverage: Back to the Roots: Toyota's New Land Cruiser FJ.

Five vehicles, one snowy theme

All five Snowhunter builds follow the same basic recipe: wheels are replaced by tracked drive systems, while suspension lifts from Toyota Genuine Parts and TRD create the space needed for the hardware. Toyota has not named the track-system supplier.

Each concept wears a grey-and-white Snowhunter camouflage look, with gloss-black trim pieces and Rigid auxiliary lights. The shared design makes the group look like one family of winter expedition rigs instead of five separate one-offs.

More than just tracks

The track setup is the headline, but the accessories matter too. Toyota is using these concepts to show how roof racks, cargo boxes, lighting, body protection and recovery gear can work together for harsh weather travel. None of this should be taken as standard equipment for Pakistani-market Toyota vehicles.

That distinction matters because many readers may see the Snowhunters as future models. Right now, they are still show vehicles.

Tundra and Tacoma take different paths

The Tundra Snowhunter is the most equipment-heavy of the group. Toyota’s CALTY team added a TrailLift Pro Rack System Concept with an upper section that can move to make loading easier. It also gets more lighting and adapted TRD billet rear control arms. In simple terms, this makes the Tundra look like a mobile winter base camp.

The Tacoma Snowhunter is smaller and should handle tighter trails better. It comes with a roof rack, a full-length bed rack with MOLLE panels, an awning, recovery gear, extra storage and a high-mounted WeBoost antenna for better communication in remote areas.

4Runner, Land Cruiser and Sequoia focus on utility

The 4Runner Snowhunter is built around protection and storage. It gets Toyota Genuine rock rails, a Prinsu roof rack, accessory panels and a Thule Pulse 2 cargo box.

The Land Cruiser Snowhunter keeps things a bit simpler, but very practical. Toyota added rock rails, underbody skid plates, a Prinsu roof rack and a Thule SnowPack ski carrier. For Pakistani readers, this nameplate is the most familiar one in the group, and you can compare Toyota’s recent direction for the badge in our coverage of the new Land Cruiser FJ.

The Sequoia Snowhunter goes for full-size travel duty. It gets a TRD front skid plate, Toyota Genuine cast-aluminium running boards, a Prinsu roof rack and a Thule Pulse 2 cargo box.

What this means for Pakistan

For Pakistani buyers, the Snowhunter project is best seen as a design showcase. Toyota has not announced any Snowhunter package for Pakistan, and tracked systems would raise major questions around cost, road legality, service, and transport width.

Still, some ideas from the project may matter later. Roof racks, storage systems, skid plates and other protection parts are much more realistic than track conversions.

Toyota has not said that any of these tracked SUVs will reach production. That matters because the brand has previously turned a SEMA concept idea into a real product path, but this Snowhunter lineup is not there yet.

For now, the best way to read this story is simple: these are show pieces, not booking options. Watch SEMA 2026 for any sign that Toyota will offer the rack systems or other accessories beyond the concept stage.
