OMODA has shown the X at the 2026 OMODA and JAECOO International User Summit in Wuhu, China, giving the brand its first off-road-focused crossover. The model was earlier previewed as the T1QC, but the new name and final shape now point to a more rugged direction. Pakistan launch plans are not confirmed yet.

According to a source report at OMODA is calling this design path “Crossvolution,” which mixes the brand’s sharp city-SUV look with a tougher, adventure-style stance. The result is a crossover that looks more serious than the brand’s usual road-biased models, but final production details are still pending.

Bigger Body, Stronger Claims

The X is not a small crossover. Reported dimensions put it at 4,654 mm long, 1,920 mm wide and 1,702 mm tall, with a 2,700 mm wheelbase. It also carries a claimed 200 mm ground clearance, 700 mm wading depth and 1,800 kg towing capacity.

Those figures suggest a vehicle aimed at buyers who want more space and better rough-road use than a compact urban SUV. Still, drivetrain details and four-wheel-drive availability have not been officially confirmed, so the real off-road story is not fully known yet.

Design Built to Look Tough

The X uses a lot of angular styling. Its big wheel arches, geometric body lines, sloping roof and sharp LED lighting give it a mecha-like look that OMODA says fits its “Cyber Mecha” theme. A scratch-resistant, self-healing finish called Progloss Plus Clearcoat was also mentioned in source reporting, which may help with light outdoor use.

That said, looks alone do not make a true off-roader. What matters more is the final suspension setup, tyres, power delivery and whether OMODA offers a proper 4WD system.

Three Electrified Versions Planned

According to the same source report, OMODA plans BEV, PHEV and HEV versions of the X. The version shown at the event was understood to be a PHEV.

Some preliminary figures also surfaced, including a roughly 74 kWh battery for the BEV and a 20 kWh battery for the PHEV. These numbers should be treated as unconfirmed for now. OMODA has not officially shared final motor outputs, range claims, engine details or drivetrain layouts.

For readers tracking OMODA’s wider push, this follows the brand’s growing hybrid and electric lineup. Our earlier guide to OMODA and JAECOO in Pakistan explains why the brand is getting more attention locally.

Cabin Tech Goes Beyond Big Screens

Inside, the X appears to keep things modern. Source reporting points to a 10.25-inch digital cluster, a 13.2-inch infotainment screen, an X-shaped centre console, physical controls and a rotary knob. There is also mention of a thermal imaging system said to detect objects up to 90 metres away, plus an Open Mic karaoke function and an X-Mode interface for the driver display.

These are interesting event features, but readers should wait for production confirmation before treating them as final market equipment.

What It Means for Pakistan

The X matters for Pakistani buyers because demand is rising for hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric SUVs. OMODA already has a local presence through Nishat Group’s NexGen Auto, and models like the OMODA E5 and OMODA 7 SHS-P have already put the brand on the radar.

Still, Pakistan pricing, booking, assembly plans and launch timing for the X are not confirmed. For now, it is best seen as a global debut with local interest, not a Pakistan launch promise.

Should Buyers Wait?

If you need an SUV now, do not delay a purchase just because the X looks promising. If you are shopping for a hybrid or EV, it is worth watching for official news, then checking charging access, warranty coverage, parts support and total ownership cost.

For now, the OMODA X looks like an important step in the brand’s electrified crossover plan, but its battery specs, off-road ability and Pakistan arrival remain unconfirmed. Readers should treat current figures as preliminary and wait for official production details before making any booking decision.
