Punjab E-Taxi Scheme Draw Coming This Month, November 2025

Good news for everyone who applied. The Punjab government just confirmed that the computerized draw for the e-taxi scheme will happen in the last week of November 2025.

Out of more than 28,000 applications, only 1,100 people will win brand-new electric taxis imported from China. And the best part, the taxis come interest-free.

How the Draw Works

Everything is done by computer. No one can pull strings. Winners will get a call or message right after the draw. Then they have to pay the down payment quickly to lock their taxi.

Delivery starts three to four months later. So by March or April 2026, you could be driving your own electric cab on Punjab roads.

Special Seats for Women Drivers

The first batch keeps 30 taxis only for women. The government wants more female drivers on the road and says this is just the beginning.

Charging Stations Are Coming Fast

Punjab is already building EV charging points at petrol pumps, malls, and bus stands across the province. An online portal is also ready, where winners can upload documents without running to offices.

Why This Scheme Matters

Electric taxis mean lower fuel bills for drivers. No petrol, no CNG price shocks. Passengers get quiet, clean rides. And the air in Lahore, Faisalabad, and other big cities stays a little cleaner.

For many drivers who applied, this is a real chance to own a vehicle without years of bank loans.

The draw is only days away now. If you applied, keep your phone close. November 2025 might change your life with one lucky message.
