If an old Suzuki Mehran gets hit, the repair bill can rise faster than many owners expect. A source report quoting a Suzuki 3S dealership says these are the prices for genuine, brand-new EFI Mehran parts in the VX and VXR variants. The figures are parts only and do not include labor, paint, fitting, or alignment. Prices can also change by city, dealership, and time.
The Mehran was discontinued in 2019 after a very long run in Pakistan, but many examples are still on the road. So for used-car buyers and current owners, these numbers still matter.
Front-end damage is where the bill starts climbing
A simple front hit can add up quickly. reportedly at
the biggest front-end items include the radiator at Rs 30,316, the front bumper at Rs 6,584, and the bonnet assembly at Rs 16,063.
Together, the two headlights, front bumper, and bonnet total Rs 46,293 before a mechanic even starts work.
Cooling system parts are not cheap
For front accident repair, the cooling system can become one of the costliest areas:
- Radiator: Rs 30,316
- AC condenser: Rs 14,809 for the VXR variant
- Radiator fan assembly: Rs 15,770
- Radiator fan shroud: Rs 1,940
- Headlight, left: Rs 11,823
That means the radiator and condenser alone come to Rs 45,125, before labor, gas refill, or any bodywork.
The report notes that the front guard, also called the front garderi, helps protect the radiator and condenser area in a crash. That part costs Rs 6,528.
Lights and mirrors are often first to break
Lighting parts are another common cost after a bump or side hit: For background, read our earlier coverage: Pakistan میں Suzuki Swift کے پرزہ جات کی قیمتیں: خریدنے سے پہلے تصدیق کریں.
- Headlight, right: Rs 11,823
- Tail light, each: Rs 3,614
- Left side mirror: Rs 1,445
A pair of headlights costs Rs 23,646, while a pair of tail lights comes to Rs 7,228.
Side mirrors are cheaper, but still important in a minor accident:
- Right side mirror: Rs 1,445
- Front door assembly, left: Rs 24,840
A pair costs Rs 2,890.
The report also says the headlights use Osram 55-watt halogen bulbs.
Door replacement can be a big expense
If the damage reaches the side of the car, full door replacement is much more costly than a small repair.
- Front door assembly, right: Rs 24,750
- Rear door assembly, left: Rs 19,611
- Rear door assembly, right: Rs 25,871
- Front windscreen: Rs 20,673
All four door shells together cost Rs 95,072 in parts.
These are bare door shells only. They do not include window glass, interior trim, or seat covering. Reportedly, minor door damage can often be repaired, so full replacement is usually for major impact cases.
Glass and tailgate prices
For a bigger crash, glass and rear body parts can also raise the bill:
- Rear windscreen: Rs 9,274
- Tailgate assembly: Rs 21,255
- genuine parts
The tailgate price does not include number plate lights or the rear windscreen.
The report also says the Mehran uses plain glass without UV-protection tint, unlike many newer cars.
What owners should do before paying
Before approving repairs, ask the workshop to split the estimate into:
- labor
- paint
- fitting
- alignment
Also check whether the damaged part can be repaired instead of replaced. That matters a lot with doors, bumpers, and fenders.
If the car is insured, submit the photos, accident report, and dealership estimate first, according to the insurer’s process. And since dealership prices can change, it is wise to confirm the latest quote before authorising work.
