When Should Drivers Replace the Filter?

A common guide is 15,000 to 20,000 kilometres, but the owner’s manual should always come first. In Lahore, and in other dusty or traffic-heavy cities, earlier inspection makes sense.

Watch for weak AC airflow, musty smells, visible dirt, or reduced ventilation performance. In many cars, the cabin filter is behind the passenger-side glove box, though the location can vary.

Keep the windows closed in polluted areas. Use recirculation mode to reduce the amount of outside air entering the car. But do not leave recirculation on forever if there are several people inside, since carbon dioxide can build up.
