Chery Extends Tiggo PHEV Promo Prices in Pakistan

If you have been watching car prices lately, you already know the story. Sales tax on hybrids jumped after the previous auto policy ended. Many buyers felt the hit right away. Chery decided not to pass the full increase on to everyone at once. The company is still offering lower promotional prices on its three plug-in hybrid SUVs for a limited number of units.

The Tiggo 7 PHEV sits at Rs9.999 million. That is a saving of Rs950,000 against the full revised price. The Tiggo 8 PHEV is listed at Rs11.499 million, saving you Rs1.5 million. The flagship Tiggo 9 PHEV comes in at Rs14.299 million with a saving of Rs1.45 million. These rates apply on a first-come, first-served basis while the allocated stock lasts. No new end date has been announced.

Why the Prices Changed in the First Place

Earlier this year the concession that kept sales tax on most hybrids at 8.5 percent ended. From 1 July 2026 the rate moved to the standard 25 percent. That change pushed up the official ex-factory prices across the industry. Chery’s full revised figures landed at Rs10.949 million for the Tiggo 7 PHEV, Rs12.999 million for the Tiggo 8 PHEV and Rs15.749 million for the Tiggo 9 PHEV.

Instead of applying those numbers immediately, Master Auto Engineering (the local partner) chose to absorb part of the difference for a while. The promotional prices still sit higher than the old rates before the tax change, but they remain clearly lower than the new full prices. Tiggo 7 PHEV

This is the most accessible of the three. It is a five-seater with front-wheel drive. Combined power is 342 horsepower and 525 Nm of torque. Electric-only range is claimed around 90 km, with total combined range over 1,200 km. Battery size is 18.3 kWh. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in about 8.4 seconds. Tiggo 8 PHEV

This one targets families that need seven seats. It is all-wheel drive. Combined output reaches around 496 to 543 horsepower depending on the exact figures published, with torque in the 735–830 Nm range. Electric range is listed near 77–90 km and combined range around 1,020–1,200 km. It uses the same 18.3 kWh battery as the Tiggo 7 in most reports. Cabin highlights include a large 15.6-inch screen, Sony audio, panoramic sunroof and strong safety kit with up to ten airbags. The promotional price of Rs11.499 million keeps it competitive against other seven-seat hybrids.

Tiggo 9 PHEV

This is the flagship. It is a larger seven-seater with triple-motor all-wheel-drive setup and a bigger 34.46 kWh battery. Combined power is 610 horsepower and 920 Nm of torque. Electric-only range is claimed at 145–170 km, with total range reaching 1,190–1,400 km. Dimensions are bigger (about 4,810 mm long with a 2,800 mm wheelbase). Interior equipment steps up further with massage seats, more speakers, larger wheels and advanced parking assist. At Rs14.299 million under the current offer it sits in premium territory but still under the full post-tax price.

All three are assembled locally. That matters for availability, parts and after-sales support. Chery has been expanding its dealership network so buyers in major cities have more options for test drives and service.

How the Offer Works in Practice

The company has not set a hard new deadline. The message is simple: limited stock, first-come first-served. Once those units are gone the full revised prices apply. Buyers who already paid the booking amount or are ready to complete payment can still lock in the promotional figures while stock remains.

This approach is not unusual in the current market. When tax rules change quickly, manufacturers sometimes choose temporary relief rather than an abrupt jump. For customers the practical effect is clear. You can still buy one of these plug-in hybrids without paying the full new rate, provided you move before the remaining units sell out.

Compare the three carefully against your actual needs. A five-seater may be enough for many households. Families that regularly carry more passengers will lean toward the Tiggo 8 or 9. The larger battery and stronger performance of the Tiggo 9 come at a higher price, even with the current saving.

The Bigger Picture for Hybrid Buyers

Pakistan’s hybrid market is still young. Local assembly of PHEVs is a relatively recent development. When tax policy shifts, prices move.
