Hyundai Nishat Hybrid Price Cuts After 18% Tax

Car prices in Pakistan have felt heavy for many families. High taxes made hybrid models cost more than people hoped. Now there is some good news.

Hyundai Nishat Motor has reduced the prices of its locally assembled hybrid models. This happened after the sales tax on qualifying hybrids up to 2000cc was confirmed at 18 percent. Before this change the tax sat at 25 percent.

The lower prices cover three main models. These are the Elantra Hybrid, the Tucson Hybrid and the Santa Fe Hybrid. The cuts range from Rs639000 to Rs1403000 compared with the earlier higher tax prices.

Here are the new figures:

ModelEarlier PriceNew PriceReduction
Elantra HybridRs 11,400,000Rs 10,761,000Rs 639,000
Tucson Hybrid Smart FWDRs 12,926,000Rs 12,202,000Rs 724,000
Tucson Hybrid Signature AWDRs 14,101,000Rs 13,300,000Rs 801,000
Santa Fe Hybrid Smart FWDRs 14,574,000Rs 13,258,000Rs 1,316,000
Santa Fe Hybrid Signature AWDRs 16,123,000Rs 14,720,000Rs 1,403,000

The biggest cut is on the Santa Fe Hybrid Signature AWD. It drops by Rs1.403 million.

Hybrids with engines above 2000cc still face the full 25 percent sales tax. The change does not bring back the older lower tax rates that hybrids once enjoyed. Those older rates ended earlier in the year.

This move gives real relief to buyers looking at these models. The savings can help with the total cost of buying a hybrid car. People who want better fuel use and lower running costs now see more reachable prices on these Hyundai options.

The tax update came through a government notification. Hyundai passed the benefit on to customers by updating its ex-factory prices. Buyers should check with authorised dealers for the latest booking details and any other charges that apply on the road. For more updates, visit DrivePK.com
