Pakistan Car Sales Drop 21.6% in August 2026
Pakistan passenger car sales fell to 15031 units in August 2026 down 21.6 percent from July. Suzuki Alto stayed the top model even with a 26 percent drop. Toyota Corolla Yaris and Corolla Cross sold less. Hyundai Elantra sales more than doubled after its relaunch. July and August sales were still nearly 80 percent higher than last year.
Pakistan’s passenger car market saw another drop in August 2026. PAMA member companies sold 15031 units. That is 21.6 percent lower than July sales.
Suzuki Alto stayed the best selling model. It still sold the most cars even though its numbers fell 26 percent. Toyota’s Corolla Yaris and Corolla Cross also recorded lower volumes.
Hyundai Elantra sales more than doubled after its relaunch. Honri VE and Toyota’s Fortuner and Hilux category also posted growth.
Despite the monthly slowdown passenger car sales during July and August were still nearly 80 percent higher than the same period last year.
