Petrol Diesel Prices Cut Aug 1-3 2026 Pakistan

The government has reduced petrol and diesel prices slightly. From August 1 to August 3, 2026, petrol costs Rs336.03 per litre. That is Rs0.12 lower than before. High-speed diesel is now Rs392.38 per litre, down by Rs0.66.

These rates come under the daily review system. OGRA checks global oil prices and the rupee each day. The cut follows a rise the day before. On July 31 petrol stood at Rs336.15 and diesel at Rs393.04.

Here are the current rates:

Fuel TypeOld Price (Rs)New Price (Rs)Change (Rs)
Petrol (Super)336.15336.03-0.12
High Speed Diesel393.04392.38-0.66

The saving is small. A 40-litre petrol tank costs about Rs5 less. Diesel users save roughly Rs26 on the same amount. For most households and transporters the difference barely shows. Fuel still takes a large share of monthly spending.

Prices have moved up overall in recent weeks. The daily system tracks international markets closely. When global rates or the exchange rate shift, local prices follow the next day.

Recent petrol prices show this upward path:

DatePetrol Price (Rs)
21 July 2026315.80
22 July 2026320.73
23 July 2026327.12
24 July 2026331.52
28 July 2026334.18
29 July 2026335.81
30 July 2026335.06
31 July 2026336.15
1 August 2026336.03

From mid-July petrol climbed more than Rs20 before the small cut. Diesel followed a similar pattern. Middle East tensions and higher import costs drove much of the rise.

For drivers and shop owners these daily shifts matter. Transport costs feed into food and goods prices. Even a few paisas add up over a month. The three-day window means another review comes soon after August 3.

The daily system aims for faster reaction to market moves. When international prices fall, the drop can reach pumps quicker. When they rise, the increase arrives just as fast. Right now the cut offers only limited relief. Keep checking official notices for the next change. For more updates, visit DrivePK.com
